Privacy policy

This policy explains which personal data BRAIN PAIN MUSIC GmbH (“we”) processes when you use PUBLIC.BUZZ, and why. It applies to the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who is responsible

BRAIN PAIN MUSIC GmbH, Bahnhofstrasse 6, 9201 Gossau SG, Switzerland · hello@public.buzz

2. Hosting in Switzerland

The platform, its database and all uploaded images are stored on our own server at Infomaniak Network SA in Switzerland. We do not use any analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not load fonts or scripts from other companies on our own pages.

3. Visitors of our website and of customer pages

4. Customer accounts

When you create an account, we process your email address, a securely encrypted version of your password and the content you add to your page (texts, links, images, tour dates, settings). We use this data to provide the service, to send you emails about your account (e.g. confirming your email address or resetting your password) and, if you subscribe, for billing.

If you add a Bandsintown artist name and API key, our server fetches your public tour dates from Bandsintown on your behalf.

5. Payments

Paid plans are processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Ireland, and Stripe, Inc., USA). Your payment details are entered directly at Stripe; we never see your full card number. We receive the status of your subscription and the information needed for accounting. Stripe may process data in the USA; appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses) apply.

6. Newsletter signups on customer pages

Customers on the Impact plan can collect email addresses on their page. We store these addresses on behalf of the page owner, who decides what to do with them. Every signup must be confirmed by email first; unconfirmed signups are deleted after 7 days. Each confirmation email contains a link to unsubscribe at any time, which deletes the address immediately.

7. Emails

System emails (account confirmation, password reset, newsletter confirmations) are sent through our email provider. They contain no tracking.

8. How long we keep data

We keep your account data as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your page, links and images are deleted immediately. Data we are legally required to keep (e.g. accounting records) is kept for the statutory period (in Switzerland usually 10 years). Backups of the database are overwritten after a short time.

9. Your rights

You can ask us at any time what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, receive a copy, or object to its processing. Most data you can view, change and delete yourself in your dashboard. Write to hello@public.buzz. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, if you live in the EU, with your local data protection authority.

10. Changes

We update this policy when the service changes. The current version is always published on this page.
